After 24 hours on planes or in airports, Josh has arrived in Hong Kong safe and sound. Digital communication can only do so much...that first hug this morning was worth the wait, the expense, and the long hours being served ginger ale above the clouds.
Since this is our first post, it probably makes sense to do a little background and previewing.
First, the background. Josh and Johnna have been dating now for 18 months...5 of those months have seen them sharing a continent...for the remaining 13 months, Josh has resided in Lafayette, IN, and Johnna studying in Hong Kong.
Now, the preview. To celebrate the end of both of their semesters, Josh and Johnna have a 3.5 week trip planned through Asia (approximately 1 week in HK, half a week in Bangkok, Thailand, half a week in Phi Phi Don, Thailand, and 1 week in the suburbs of Shanghai).
To keep any interested parties up-to-date, we're going to post on this blog as often as is reasonable. Feel free to comment or ask questions. We'll do our best to stay current.
After a lazy morning, we are heading out for the first joint stroll through HK. Goals: Get a feel for the city...get some food...hold hands...
